Choc Chip ANZAC Slice
Makes 16 squares


  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup desicated coconut
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 120g unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 200g choc chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
1. Preheat oven to 160°c. Combine flour, sugar, coconut, oats and choc chips in a mixing bowl.
2. Melt butter and golden syrup over medium heat. Stir in bicarb and allow to cool slightly before combining with dry ingredients.
3. Line a 23cm square slice/cake pan with baking paper. Pour mixture into tray and press down firmly.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until just golden. Allow to cool completely in pan before slicing.
