BBQ Pulled Pork

This recipe makes a ton of pulled pork, but it will last in the fridge for up to 4 days and it freezes well. It's so versatile you can serve it with basically anything. A delicious and budget friendly crowd pleaser.

BBQ Pulled Pork
Serves 8+
  • 2kg boneless pork shoulder roast, rind removed
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 4 teaspoons onion flakes
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce of choice
1. Combine spices, herbs, salt, pepper, mustard and onion flakes. Coat pork in dry rub mix.
2. Place pork in slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours (depending on slow cooker).
3. After cooking time is up, shred pork with tongs and fork (it should just fall apart) and stir in BBQ sauce. Warm through for 10 minutes. Serve.
