Walnut Brownies



Walnut Brownies
Makes 16

  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 80g chopped walnuts
  • 100g Cadbury dark choc melts

1. Preheat oven to 180°c (160° fanforced). In a saucepan combine butter, sugar, choc melts, vanilla essence and cocoa powder. Melt over a low heat until smooth. Remove from heat.
2. Add one egg at a time to chocolate mixture, whisking vigorously with each addition. Add in flour and walnuts and stir to combine.
3. Pour batter into a lined 23cm square cake tin. Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until still slightly soft in the middle.
