Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli

Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli
Serves 6

  • 1.2kg chuck steak thinly sliced
  • 1 head of broccoli cut into florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon crushed ginger 
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • A splash of water
1. Combine beef, sauces, water, garlic, ginger, Chinese five spice and brown sugar in slow cooker. Season with pepper and stir. Cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until beef is tender.
2. 1 hour before cooking time is up add in broccoli. 30 minutes before cooking time is up dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and stir through beef.
3. Serve with rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
